Tonester Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 (edited) Hi guys…i want to purchase a trim box for aeleron and rudder trim, i already have an elevator trim wheel as part of turtle beach quadrant. I know you cant usually get just those two in a box so if i have to buy one with 3 then so be it. Can someone recommend one that they are using as i believe IL2 has trouble with some encoder wheels and i dont want to buy one and find it doesnt work or that i need extra software to make it work here are some ive found online https://simracing4u.myonline.store/a-62898448/usb-button-boxes-for-sim-racing-and-flight-simulators/3-axis-trim-box-for-microsoft-flight-simulator-2020-dcs-and-il2-also-suitable-for-vr/#description https://gear-falcon.com/products/double-panel-mount-trim-kit https://flightvelocity.com/products/flight-velocity-dual-trim-wheel-pro https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/1353902628/trim-wheel-cessna-flight-simulator?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=rudder+trim+wheel&ref=sr_gallery-1-11&cns=1&content_source=4263fa7cff86db1d24b534f6332c07c968ba3fdc%3A1353902628&organic_search_click=1 …all help appreciated…cheers Edited December 8, 2024 by Tonester 1
Hoss Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 (edited) K51 out of Russia is the best one, in my opinion. It has 8-axis controls, R/P/Y, on the oversized wheels, and two knob dials that can be pots or encoders—your choice. It's excellent for the DCS P-51 Ram and cold air control, with the two levers at the rear and the one on the side for anything else. Go to DCS forums, search K51, send him a private message, and ask about the trim box. I wish he would make it a USB B or C at the chassis for easy disconnect like the Taurus behind it. K51 is the guy, not the trim box. He's an old Soviet Navy Sub Sailor... Edited December 8, 2024 by Hoss 3

czech693 Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Gear Falcon used to make a three way trim wheel. These wheels are not rotaries and have upper and lower limits. They are very accurate and you can make small adjustments. It's on the lower right of this photo. I liked it so much I bought a second one. But it's not shown on his Etsy listing anymore. You might contact him to see if he still makes them.
Tonester Posted December 15, 2024 Author Posted December 15, 2024 (edited) Thanks everyone for their help. K51 ended up being no good due to issues getting stuff into Oz from Russia so have pulled the trigget on the Authentikit P51 trim box setup… pricy but should be worth it… plus i can add other bits should i so desire once i have the ‘box’ setup to plug their peripherals into Edited December 17, 2024 by Tonester
