Sheriff88 Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 This was posted in wrong place earlier. Suddenly MODS not enabled anymore. This related to update issue or perhaps something else?
ssn650 Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Hi Sheriff88 Could you please let us know which mods you're using so we can help? I'm currently using most of Stonehouse's mods (AAA, AI Gunnery and Prolonged Smoke) along with Il-2 Enhanced V2.2 by 356thFS_Drewm3i-VR without issue in the latest 5.504 release.
Sheriff88 Posted December 8, 2024 Author Posted December 8, 2024 Principally Desert War and associated map mods. Note than when I select "enable mods"and restart they are NOT enabled.

Note than when I select "enable mods"and restart they are NOT enabled. Most likely then they are not installed correctly and therefore the game cannot see the mods. A common issue is that when the mod is unzipped it ends up 1 folder too far down. You need to check the zip file to know whether to do an unzip here or unzip to whatever the mod name is. My mods are always set up so if the zip is in the mod folder you can do an unzip here and get for example MODS\AAAmod\data\whatever the mod structure is. eg .........MODS\AAAmod\AAAmod\data is an example of what I mean by being 1 folder too far down. When the above is enabled via JSGME -I'm assuming you use a mod manager- the game won't see the mod as the folder structure is incorrect. Edited December 8, 2024 by Stonehouse
Sheriff88 Posted December 8, 2024 Author Posted December 8, 2024 (edited) I tried that. I activated two all but two mods. When I launched game settings indicated that mods were not enabled.First time I ever had this problem🫤 Edited December 8, 2024 by Sheriff88
Sheriff88 Posted December 10, 2024 Author Posted December 10, 2024 Got them to work. Startup. cfg was"read only" file . I changed properties and mods launched just fine. Note when enabled Startup config entry looks like this. 1
