Modifications for Hanriot HD1 - small windscreen + moving MG from the fuselage centre

Hello,

I suggest implementing 2 aircraft modifications for Hanriot  HD1:

1. smaller windscreen with barely visible metal frame,

2. MG placed to the side of front part of fuselage.

This aircraft modifications are historically accurate. Various historical photos show that mentioned mods were quite common in Belgian and Italian service.

We have frame cutout in Sopwith Snipe's cockpit and window cutout in Sopwith Camel's upper wing. Why shouldn't we have such type of modifications in Hanriot to make it more "comfortable" fighter 😉? Not everyone will agree with me but it could be paid modification like aircraft mods in RoF - but you know price should be "normal" (no more than 2$ :D).

Examples of small windscreen in spoiler below.

I'd welcome this change.  The Hanriot is a nice aircraft,  but it's limited forward vision is a real drawback.

Off_Winters did one for the Nieuport 28.  Maybe he can change this one too.

There's a thread already on the topic where the devs show the likely source of the windscreen:

That is true, just to be honest i "stole" photos from that topic, but:

1. I didn't say that present in-game windscreen is not historical or not accurate. It is but there could be also added aircraft modifaction for this if developers find some time.

2. Topic you have mentioned was forgotten and wasn't posted in players suggestions thread.

3. This small aircraft mod propably could somehow change the meta in multiplayer. Watching only Camels vs. Fokker D7 and Dr1 dogfights is boring as hell.

You’re preaching to the choir dude. I’d love to see alt windscreens to help vis similar to wing cut outs in the Sopwiths, but if it wasn’t in RoF I can’t see it happening. We are missing some vital late war engine variants for half the Central planes etc. Still, a boy can dream

Maybe, but there are 3 events which prove that Flying Circus devs are not hired only to port content from RoF. Firstly, they made 2 completely new planes: Snipe and Schuckert. Secondly, they add Paris to map. Thirdly, there is officialy annouced plan to make zeppelins. Perhaps this whole suggestions thread is not useless.

About late war engine variants for Central planes - i suppose that it is worth to describe the issue here in suggestions thread. I see that couple of suggestions had been considered positively, for example: static planes for airfields, plane's wheels do not touch the ground and adding zeppelins.

Agreed it would be great and there have been additions. Never hurts to post
