How to drop a bomb in the I.A.R. 80

How do I drop a bomb in the I.A.R. 80?

 

The specification tab says to activate the bomb release system by pressing the "N" key.  But the "N" key does nothing.  So, I checked my key binding, and the "N" is not bound to anything on my installation.  What action do I bind it to?

 

There is the bomb safety toggle binding, which is LWin+S on my installation.  But that doesn't help me drop a bomb in the I.A.R. 80

 

And hopefully, they can further complicate dropping bombs in the I.A.R. 80 in future updates.  The more buttons to press, the better..lol 🙃

P.S.  And what's going on with my I.A.R. 80 wingmen randomly dropping their bombs and crashing into the ground while in route with no target in sight?

Pressing the "N" key switches the plane into dive bombing mode but doesn't drop the bomb.

I forgot whether you have to press your fire bind or just your bomb drop bind to actually drop the bomb but it's one or the other (I'm not near my pc with Il2 on right now).

Don't forget to press "N" again after your dive or your plane will remain in dive bombing mode.

As stated above, pressing the "N" key(Bomb bay doors) places you in bombing mode. To drop the bomb press your fire button. After dropping your bomb press the "N" key to disengage bombing mode. You can not fire your guns in bombing mode. Good Luck!
