Mission#3 Operation Cycle

Allies briefings

June 11, 1940

05H00 Hrs

Gentlemen, the military situation on the continent is desperate...
Whatever we may try on the ground or in the air, the Battle of France is lost!

It is imperative that we continue to evacuate as many men and equipment as possible via the port of Le Havre (AO.5) to the United Kingdom, and prepare for the inevitable next Battle.

The Battle of France is almost over, the Battle of Britain is about to begin!

Unfortunately units of the IX French Corps and the 51st (Highland) Division who were trying to reach Le Havre sector are surrounded at Veulettes-Sur-Mer (AS.9) by General Rommel's 7th Panzer Division.
The Royal Navy is currently attempting to evacuate them via the beaches.

Protect the port of Le Havre and the beach at Veulettes-Sur-Mer!!!

FIGHTER Squadron:

Wait for take-off clearance

Patrol Le-Havre (AO.5) / Veulettes-Sur-Mer (AS.9) / Yvetot (AT.6) sector and establish air superiority so that we can re-embark our troops.
Shoot down any Luftwaffe bombers approaching evacuation zones.

Available aircraft:

Hurricane I (Rotol 100oct):

No 73 Sqn at Théville airfield (AD.7).

D.520 Serie 1:

GC I/3 2 Esc at Carqebut airfield (AE.4).

Spitfire Ia (100oct):

No 234 Sqn at Thorney Island airfield (AI.19)

BOMBER Squadron:

Wait for take-off clearance:

1)The 7th PanzerDivision launches an assault on the village of Veulettes-Sur-Mer (AS.9).

2)Two batteries of Flak 88s to the east (AU.9) and west (AR.8) of Veulettes-Sur-Mer bombarded our ships.

3)Columns of Wermacht reinforcements were stationed north of Yvetot (AT.7) and west of Yerville (AU.7).

DESTROY THEM!!!

Available aircraft:

Blenheim IV:

No 114 Sqn at Querqueville airfield.

The radar menu work TAB 7 1 give you the position of ennemy planes relative to your position if you are close enought.

TAB 4 menu gives you access to 'refuel and rearm.'
To use ' refuel and rearm'......undamaged aircraft must be stopped at an airfield, with engine, magnetos, and fuel cocks switched off.

Luftwaffe Briefing:

June 11, 1940

05H00 Hrs

Comrades,

One last effort and our victory will be total and unprecedented in history!

5 days ago we launched the Fall Rot plan, which consists of pushing what is left of the Franco-British armies southwards.

The Allies continue to re-embark troops and equipment via the port of Le Havre (AO.5).

The Royal Navy is also trying to evacuate troops encircled at Veulettes-Sur-Mer (AS.9) via the beaches, General Rommel's 7th PanzerDivision is currently launching an assault on the town!

OBJECTIVES (Fighter pilots):

Organise yourselves into two groups:

1) A close escort group :

Available aircraft:

Bf 109 E1, E3, E4

I./JG 2 at Grandvilliers airfield (BC.7).

Bf 110 C2, C4

II./ZG 2 at Brombos airfield (BB.7)

Wait for take-off clearance, then follow the ground control messages which will direct you to the rendezvous point with the bombers.

2) Free Hunt group:

a) Patrol Le-Havre (AO.5) / Veulettes-Sur-Mer (AS.9) / Yvetot (AT.6) sector to deny access to RAF aircraft.

b) Protect our bombers who launch attacks against ships and beaches (You will be informed of their positions and arrival times by radio)

Available aircraft:

Bf 109 E1, E3, E4

III./JG 27 at Haute-Fontaine (BC.6).

Bf 110 C2, C4

II./ZG 2 at Brombos airfield (BB.7)

OBJECTIVES (Bomber Pilots):

1)The Allies re-embark their troops via the beach at Veulettes-Sur-Mer (AS.9) and the port of Le Havre (AO.5) Destroy as many enemy ships as possible!!!

2)The Allies have stockpiled a large quantity of military equipment on the docks in the port of Le Havre (AO.5.3). This equipment must not be returned to the United Kingdom! (Prefer a high-altitude bombing, as the port's anti-aircraft defences are very aggressive!)

3)A British column managed to escape the encirclement of the 7th PanzerDivision and retreated towards the port of Le Havre on the Montivilliers road.(AQ.6)

Available aircraft:

Ju 87 B-2

I./St.G 1 at Poix-Nord airfield (BC.9)

He 111 H-2, Ju 88 A-1

I./KG 51 at Montdidier airfield (BG.7)

The radar menu work TAB 7 1 give you the position of ennemy planes relative to your position if you are close enought.

TAB 4 menu gives you access to 'refuel and rearm.'
To use ' refuel and rearm'......undamaged aircraft must be stopped at an airfield, with engine, magnetos, and fuel cocks switched off.
