Cannot ram or overrun enemy positions???

Really enjoying tank crew. There is a lot of subtlety involved in accomplishing missions, and the immersion is great. I did recently, however, encounter something that was a real immersion killer: I attempted to ram a German 20mm gun position, and not only was my tank severely damaged, but all five of my crew were wounded (all were buttoned up). To add insult to injury, the German gun was unscathed. The gun's crew had previously fled, driven away by my co-axial .30 caliber. There was no explosion when I hit the gun.

This is just wrong.

Tanks could, and did, ram objects or run them over. They're designed to do that. When I was serving with 4th Infantry Division, I saw an M60 tank go out of control on an icy road and hit a tree that must have had a girth of of over two feet in diameter. It snapped like a twig. There was no damage to the tank. I am wondering if this is a known "bug", or if I should submit a ticket or????? Just a completely unbelievable event.

With some German tanks, touch with a tree on relatively low speed often breaks at least one track, engine, steering and transmission. These damage models are by some parts bit unrealistic. Also, getting stuck to Spanish rider style barbed wire or not able to cross it is slightly odd, but it happens. And ramming objects has thrown my tank upside down several times. All things, which do not happen easily IRL.
