Went to buy the Ultimate edition, entered Japan for my shipping address, their computer said "Noooo!"

I asked Chat-GPT and it says regulations. As in, most of Japan is still in the 1950s. I thought about getting it sent to my son in the UK, but 20% VAT and the leccy is different.

I would never return to the UK but dayum, sometimes Japan really is the red-headed @sehole of the world for so many things.

Aye carumba, I'd totally forgotten it requires base-stations and they're not cheap. On top of which they don't even supply them themselves.

Lol. So many comments from backers and pre-orderers saying their emails have been ignored, ditto questions in the comments of Somnium's YT channel, that many of them have cancelled for a refund. Also a lot of QC issues now being reported. But dayum, their software is so good!

However, if they sold to Japan AND provided the base-stations themselves, I'd wait until the early-days clusterfk was done and buy one.

I’m waiting for true end user reviews once all production and qa/QC problems are ironed out. Not sure if I’ll go further than eye tracking and hand tracking modules.
