Hi,

I want to run Dserver from a laptop instead of my PC and all is OK. But im wondering....
As im only going to run the games Dserver (and i have 170gb free space) can I delete stuff in the game folder that not relevant for making it work?
If so what can i delete?

I was gonna just try it and if it messes up my game I can just DL it again, but id thought id ask.

You could ask for a special dServer account.

But that would not save any space.

 

AFAIK that would only mean a different login but still downloading (and installing) the entire game.

Deleting unused stuff afterwards could work (I don't know).

But whenever an update comes online you'ld have to start the 'normal' launcher to get it.

And at least then everything missing will be reinstalled...

Hi Deci, Thanks, I have a DServer account already.
I use direct version of Il2, not via Steam
I dont use launcher.exe, to trigger any updates or to open Dserver (Do You?) but, Dserver.exe. So i would only update the game when my server stops working by using launcher.exe

And yea, I guess... but if I knew what to delete after an update, I could simply delete it again.

If Anyone out there has the answer, l'll be in your debt.
