BENKOE Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 (edited) Without offline missions the game is not interesting to me. What about you? Edited November 6, 2024 by BENKOE 1
No.54_Reddog Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 I honestly couldn't care less about SP missions. However the changes I'd like to have seen to AI etc would have benefitted both SP and MP. 2
Buffo002 Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 I am an Offline only player. I don't play VR or Online. Now, after a long time, using the advice and the mod, I put two files (I copied the rest normally, nothing is overwritten) Desastersoft campaigns and it works great. The number of kills, etc. are counted. so now I'm playing it again. And I hope that for each static campaign there will be separate statistics for each campaign itself, for single player.
Guest deleted@424816 Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 I just play SP and value much a dynamic campaign. Fortunately the game has one developed by an external source, otherwise I would not be interested in this game.

Whatever happened to those Campaigns? Also, are these the two files made them work? We're the Campaigns downloadable or were they off a disk? Are they still available? Cheers. As I bought them a long time ago, I saved them on my PC as a purchased product.
marcost Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 (edited) Can you be specific as to what you did to get them to work? I have the Dundas one but could never get it to work. IIRC, the Desastersoft updater didn't work because the new owner didn't maintain it or something. Maybe you have the updated files? Thanks Actually I think it's called Channel Battles? It's stored away somewhere. Edited November 6, 2024 by marcost 1
Buffo002 Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 There is no update to Blitz. It's a bit complicated. Do not overwrite the files during installation. I'm going to sleep now and go to work in the morning. Tomorrow or another day I will try to explain in more detail how to install it. 1
Buffo002 Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 I want to ask if there is anyone here who knows Czech? That I would explain it in Czech and then he would translate it correctly. Since I use a translator, if no one is found, I will hopefully translate it so that you can understand it.
BENKOE Posted November 7, 2024 Author Posted November 7, 2024 I would like to ask you to use the following thread. Otherwise we are, as usual in the off-topic area. Unofficial Desastersoft Campaign Missions conversion to 4.5 Blitz
Buffo002 Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Version 5.041 CoD Okay, but I'm using the old campaigns in Blitz and I've bought a Tobruk for it. And I don't intend to analyze it in any way, I'll just describe one link how to install disastersoft in IL-2 CoD version 5.041 + (DLC Tobruk) and I won't write about it here.
Buffo002 Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 (edited) Before installing the disastersoft campaign files As for the file under c:\documents, nothing will be edited there, on the contrary, the important files and mainly skins will be added. If anyone still has the old CoD installed: Program files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover I recommend changing the name to, for example: 1. IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover So that during the installation of the files, disastersoft does not install those files for you in this file. The reason is simple, you would be crazy looking for all the files needed to start and copying those files would be complicated and the search would take a long time. Then install all the purchased addons from disastersoft that you have (the path destination is given) and thus the program will create a new folder automatically by itself: Program files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover There you will see only disastersoft executable files. Then it's easy to copy all files ATTENTION to : Program files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz And now the important thing is to create a MOD (directly under the IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz) using the JSGME program, and what is important is to copy the ds_fix into it (I am attaching it to the file) and rename it as the long name MAIN_INSTALL_FOLDER is there (I gave disastersoft ) and so copy it to the MOD file. Activate and you can play disastersoft. ds_fix.zip Edited November 7, 2024 by Buffo002 1
marcost Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Thank you very much for taking the time to do this, I will try to get it working using your instructions!
