II./JG27_Rich Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 Why I'm here is because...I like the other two but don't love them. I can't for the life of me think why 90% dumped Cliffs of Dover and went to the other two,VR and eye candy I guess. Now that I've learned more about why Great Battles is the way it is I can see why so many people flock to it. It's easier but not too easy and it looks good but by the looks of all the things coming up for this sim especially with the slide show "before after" in my opinion this one is going to look really good also and will be the only one of the three to have a flyable B-17 1
Drum Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 (edited) If they can release the updated CoD soon enough, we may see a resurgence in it's popularity over the next few years while the newer sims are built if VR works well and it has a better damage model & spotting then GB's. I'm waiting for VR. Edited November 5, 2024 by Drum 1
Mysticpuma Posted November 7, 2024 Author Posted November 7, 2024 Well the stats speak for themselves. 50% of the players who replied in the last thread two-years ago are no longer here. 81 (individual) replies to the original thread. Approx. 40 (individual) to this thread. 1

Buffo002 Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 Team TFS had a difficult task from the beginning, starting with an unfinished flight simulator that was previously only in 2D. So he has to redesign the whole simulator for VR, 4K, True Sky, etc. And when he overcomes all this, everything will be aligned, I think his popularity will increase and he will be better to make more addons for the game. Great job TFS guys. 4 2
FTC_Oakwoodson Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 (edited) Had the highest concurent players in almost a year due to an event we in FTC organised today (50+ chaps showed up). Very happy with the outcome. Still a lot of love for CloD in our ranks, just waiting for VR so we can do more with it on a weekly schedule. Edited November 10, 2024 by FTC_Oakwoodson 5 1
Volant_Eagle Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 I'm still here. I just haven't played in months since my PC died back in July. I didn't bother fixing it until recently because I started a new job about the same time and was too busy to play games anyway. Regardless of whether the VU or new DLC is out or not, I hope to be playing frequently again in the near future. I just need to get my cockpit setup back together again since things have gotten re-arranged over the summer.
SCG_Tzigy Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Still here. Flying DCS mostly. Missing P-38, Typhoon, P-51b...
