RoF editor jerky?

Q the editor behaves quite jerky moving and zooming on windows 10 x64. Solution?

Tried "Administrator", Windows 8, XP and Vista compatibility, and the windows scaling manifest trick already. NADA.

Some NVDIA setting to fix this maybe?

Still no further on this after more experiments ... some times the RoF editor starts like this:

 

 

pressing F9 gives:

 

 

Then restarting it looks OK, but zooming around  staggers.
