Rise of Flight: How to Make Destroyed Targets Stay Longer Before Disappearing?

I´m finally getting comfortable with the RoF Mission Editor and would like to see my kills last longer.  Looks like there´s about five seconds on the ground, then they disappear.  Not to sound ghoulish, but I kind of like to the destruction last longer, even till the end of the mission, if possible.  Is there a mod I haven´t yet uncovered?  (I´ve looked -- Boy, have I looked!)

Single player only, RTX4090, Win11.

Try un-marking Delete after Death in Plane Advanced properties etc? Other active objects also have this like trains.

Thanks for that suggestion, jollyjack, but that makes no difference to the dead aircraft.  They decompose in about five seconds regardless if it is checked or not.  What´s weird is that the box can be checked for vehicles, yet they still blaze away for a satisfyingly long time before they disappear.

To the best of my knowledge this is just one of the game's / ME's quirks.

You can uncheck 'delete after death' and use a timer linked to a manual delete instruction.. but the plane will still disappear after (as I recall) about 7-8 seconds.

Thus you sometimes see planes evaporate into thin air in front of you - talk about an immersion killer.

 

Train carriages on the other hand..

 

There's a number of irritating  things with the ME they never bothered sorting out, neither in RoF nor FC.
