jlan5031jlan5031 Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 I've been away for awhile. When I came back the game no longer recognized my rudder control, my Saitek throttle and mixture levers. I've switched sub connections with no effect. tried to search the problem notes unsuccessfully. Can anyone help me? I'd greatly appreciate any help.
jlan5031jlan5031 Posted October 24, 2024 Author Posted October 24, 2024 I'd hoped to hear something. I've played IL-2 since shortly after it became available. Now, I cant get the game to respond to the red and blue levers of my throttle quadrant. The commands are there. I've tried all the solutions that I've found, and none have worked. I've been away for awhile. The game was responding when I left, but not since I returned. If I uninstall the game on Steam and reinstall it, would in reinstall the game with all my add-ons? Would that help? What about buying a new Logitech Quadrant? I wonder, because the quadrant levers work in all my other flight sims? Please help me.
czech693 Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 Don't reinstall or buy new controllers yet. Go into the main game folder, then find data/input/devices.txt and open that file. Are your controllers listed? Are there more than 8 listed? You can delete that .txt file and when you restart the sim it will recreate a new one. Then see if you can assign the controls you're having problems with. 1
jlan5031jlan5031 Posted October 25, 2024 Author Posted October 25, 2024 czh693, Thank you for your quick response. I tried it without success. Any other ideas? I'm out of them.
jlan5031jlan5031 Posted October 28, 2024 Author Posted October 28, 2024 SOLVED After spending several days, I figured it out. I was a failing port hub.
