Original box purchased online at a very good price. I am very happy to have received this magnificent box or pack of the original IL-2 Sturmovik from the time of Oleg Madox.

Original IL-2 Sturmovik is the most expensive game I have ever bought. Since buying it, and for the first time feeling like flying, I've bought several hundred books, bookshelves for those, joysticks, controllers... cannot say how many... And all the other hardware for it. Vacations, trips to historic places etc.

Just because of one CD I bought in 2001... :)

Vacaciones, viajes a lugares históricos, etc.

Sólo por un CD que compré en 2001...:)

Hello everyone,

Hi Hunu,

The same thing happened to me, I was traveling in Madrid-Spain and suddenly in a video game center I saw a cardboard box with IL2 on the cover, and I went in and bought it.

When I got home I installed it on a not very powerful PC, an HP work PC, and it was going in fits and starts, so I went to PC Componentes and asked for a PC with the top of the range of all its components and I was amazed, but I still needed the TRACK-IR 4 and then after a short time my wife broke it cleaning my study and my simple cabin with a side table from IKEA and I made myself a suitable place, but no! I still needed the pedals, and I bought the Logitech with a throttle lever and the pedals didn't even work on static balloons, so I created a squadron since I came from Squadron 111 with more than 5,000 Spanish pilots, but many were from the 111th Reactor Wing with the Falcon Free.

After wearing out several joysticks, I began to prepare to have a very professional flight cabin. Then I bought the controls from the brand: Russian VKB SIM and now I have all of them and I'm considering buying a dynamic cabin. And now I'm going to change everything for a platform with motion servos, the only thing missing is that you can do a Looping and see yourself upside down.

And as for simulators, I have almost all of them, even the scripted campaigns and all the books I find from painters and graphic artists on the subject of combat aviation.

The fire alarm goes off if you have the graphics settings too high? 🔥🔥🚒

S!

Still have the original Russian IL-2 box with a poster signed by Oleg Maddox. Even had a T-shirt but it has been worn out ages ago. I think I cut out the pic of it when could not wear it anymore 😄

Hi all,

Well, I've been looking into how to make SKINs for the Il-2Sturmovik.com and I think I can do something now. I'll start with the Messers Bf-109 F4 which is my favorite plane or the FW-190 A6 to attack Allied Bombers whether they are Russian or USAF, RAF, RAFF or whatever.

First I'm going to download the application so I can save it as a SKIN in its SIM folder and be able to take screenshots with them on.

When I have one I'll present it here.

Thank you all very much and by the way that weird keyboard is a "Stick" to make video or customize the plane's commands. It's not for going to NASA 😉

And I'm thinking about buying some high-resolution VR glasses and also a platform with hydraulic movement servos.

As I put in the images below.

Many thanks to everyone and especially to the “admins” for putting up with my mistakes with texts and images.

What do you think of these purchases, which are like Christmas presents and for my birthday in 1956?

Because of my age, I'm like a Luftwaffe pilot, but with many more hours of combat flight than real pilots...

I estimate that I must have about 100,000 hours of flight time, and that's not counting those of other simulators.

Is there anyone on the Forum older than me?
