Jus' Curious, sorry .. game update progress?

Was wondering how far the testing has progressed for the new update after 5.204b has progressed so far, and we could enjoy Karelia and Odessa?

Odessa and Karelia are 2025/26 releases. The rest is still in testing, per our schedule.

2025/26 they say, well in that time the Channel Map and seaplanes can be brought over to FC and maybe some more two-seaters 🙂

I was actually hoping that by 2026 they'd start converting GB and FC content to the new engine.

Only if a third-party developer wants to do that. We aren't going to do it on our own.

We aren't converting GB and FC content to the new engine. Everything is being rebuilt essentially from scratch, and in any case the Pacific will be the first arena for WWII content on the new engine.

Huh, last I checked Ugra Media was the one bringing over RoF content… unless that is they will have too much on their plate after FC4. (Would love for it to be that they’re being trained to make content for the Korea sim so a FC continuation/successor can happen in that engine. Obviously this would only happen after Korea is released and the Western Front would be last.)

The third party maps probably can't be done earlier because a lot of work remains to be done by the volunteer teams. 1CGS is going to help a bit, but that probably when they have some spare time from working on Korea and the Pacific. They won't do all the work.

My hearts go out to these overworked guys who are constantly under huge expectations! Frankly, I think it's more likely that we're being dried out so that we can hopefully throw ourselves into their Korea project hot as chips. Let's see what the future holds.
