jollyjack Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Just got very sad news from his wife, that last October 5th 2024 our gentle forum friend hamaha15 has lost a tough battle with the big C, alas. I got lucky meeting him a few times, and behold, we also had common interests in Cajun music, and even common friends in France. May the Force be with his soul forever. Salut mon Ami. JJ 15
Vendigo Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Oh my god, is it really true?! I'm shocked... I almost got a chance to see him when I shortly stayed in Germany last year, but because time was limited, we said "next time". How tragic the life is, you never know whether you're going to get the "next time" or not...
jollyjack Posted October 10, 2024 Author Posted October 10, 2024 (edited) Seems the Man Upstairs needs the good guys first ... why you and me are still around 😕 ?. Edited October 10, 2024 by jollyjack
Vendigo Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 In these times, I actually feel lucky to still be around... Wish the same to you.. I hope Hans's wife can gather strength to pull through this.. I never met him but he really was a nice guy. 1
BMA_FlyingShark Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 So sorry to read this. Rest In Peace, hamaha15. ~S~
AEthelraedUnraed Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 (edited) I knew he was in a long-time struggle with cancer, but I didn't expect this - at least not so soon😢 I got close to meeting him a couple of times when he was vacationing in the Netherlands, but I always had other business I needed to attend. It's a shame I'll never get the chance to meet him now - from our conversations, he seemed an incredibly nice guy. RIP Hans-Martin. Edited October 10, 2024 by AEthelraedUnraed
LuftManu Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Oh man, that's terrible news. So sad to hear this. He was a really cool guy and did a great job on his projects, such as improving the Bodenplatte map with villages This is so sudden.. Rest in peace and fly high.
1CGS Sneaksie Posted October 10, 2024 1CGS Posted October 10, 2024 Oh no, very sorry to hear this. He was a very nice guy to talk to.
Jaegermeister Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 I am also very sorry to hear the news, thanks for letting us know JJ. He will certainly be missed! 🙁
SYN_Vander Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 Rest in peace Hamaha. Quite shocked as I did not know about his illness. He was quite active in mission editing and modding. Glad I was able to help a couple of times.
Mistralfred901 Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 (edited) I'm really sad to hear this bad news😮💨. Hamaha helped me a lot with surface editing. He was a very nice person. My condolences to his family. Edited October 16, 2024 by Mistralfred901
