Those boring, boring Brits.

It's true to say the stiff upper lip was at it's apotheosis at the time of the Great War. Why show a modicum of person flair at a time when heraldic air-knights dolled up like drag queens ruled the skies, when you can simply paint a number or letter on the side of your dark green/brown/tan/nondescript plane, go over sausage-side, and hope you get back in time for tea and custard creams? 

 

That being said, there's no reason why we can't have a little fun around the edges, and there was certainly a fair bit of paint based shenanigans going on in British units. They're never going to compete with the massed ranks of preening Boche peacocks, but the peacocks might want to be reminded of who actually won in the end....

 

Anyway, we suffer from the same problems we always had, a tragic lack of planes, so I've had a bit of a go at making what we have look a little like what we don't have. Chopping bits off isn't really an appealing solution, so this is merely cosmetic.

 

 

 

 

If anyone has any decent resources regarding the markings of the Brits. The actual colours of PC8/10/12 I've had a pop at, and they seem ok within the colour palette of the game, but info on the squadron markings is proving a bit tricky to be honest.
