a.i .bombers not closing bomb bay doors

Hi,

 

I'm playing a Normandy career in the Spitfire IXe, when on bomber escort missions I've noticed that while the lead bomber closes it's bomb bay doors after dropping it's bombs on the target the rest of the bomber flight do not, and doors remain open for the remainder of the mission.

 

B26 and A20 are the types I've escorted so far.

I can confirm when I played Bomber mission's in career and I lead the squad the AI bombers often not close the bomb bay after drop.

I repeated a few missions to see if there's any difference with air-starts or take-offs, there doesn't seem to be. Flying from the same airfield in Kuban sometimes the A-20s closed their bombbays, sometimes they didn't. The bomber wingmen at first close their bays, just to open them a moment later.

fyi i played a bomber mission last week (after the update that fixed this issue) and i had one AI bomber kept his doors open all the way home.  also only released the bombs on his wings, not the ones inside the bomb bay.  so i think this might still be unresolved.  i have the track if it helps
