WW1 Flight Log Book interactable pdf reproductions released

Hey, some might already know that I have been creating reproductions of historical flight logs in interactable/fillable PFD form.
I thought I'd post here for those who only frequent this side of the forum:

I have released the first WW1 flight log reproductions in the form of the 1916 RFC and 1918 RAF Pilot's Flight Logs.

Any feedback is welcome!

I am planning to do the WW1 French log books next so I will let you guys here know when that's ready.

Hey, niche question:

I'm currently working on the French First World War Carnet D'emploi du Temps.
Does anyone here know the dimensions of this booklet?:)

The French First World War Carnet d'Emploi du Temps was a type of military-issued schedule or diary used by soldiers to track their daily activities, operational schedules, or even personal notes. These notebooks were often pocket-sized for practicality in the field.

The typical dimensions for these World War I-era notebooks were:

  • Height: Around 14 to 15 cm (5.5 to 6 inches)
  • Width: Around 9 to 10 cm (3.5 to 4 inches)

These dimensions made them small enough to fit into a uniform pocket, ensuring they were easy to carry during military operations. The size might slightly vary depending on the issuing unit or specific production run.

Aaah, thanks a bunch!:D
Where did you get this info, literature?

I've got examples of pre- and post 1916 flight logs so there will at least be 2 versions with probably an English translated version for both.

Alright, the first French flight log reproduction has been uploaded.
Included is the 1918 version. A 1916 version is in the works but will require extensive custom typeface with a fantastic cursive script.
A translated edition of the 1918 version will follow but will also require more work since it uses a lot of unique font variations I had to recreate.

Pre-1916 French flight logs appear to have been commercial note books with no uniformity.
Even these official versions were not to the liking of the pilots as most of them included custom raster additions, edits and extra information.

Hey, a heads up that the translated English version of the 1918 Carnet d'emploi du temps has been uploaded.

I have been working on the 1917 German Flugbuch so that will most likely come next.
Happy holidays!
