Herodotus Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 (edited) Firstly, I have a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. It has done me well for years on all flight sims from this to DCS. I've been enjoying flying my different mounts in Career and Campaign Modes, but my mouse was no longer panning around the cockpit, so I decided to do a Reset. I was able to map all joystick buttons to my required settings, and they respond in game. What no longer respond, are Pitch, Yaw, Roll and Throttle, even though they have been mapped (and were pre-mapped) in my settings. When re-mapping them in the Key Bindings, they were accepted, but when checking their responses, there were none. Joystick is checked when looking at my Input Devices. I don't know what has gone wrong, and what I can to fix what seems to not be a problem in the Key Mapping settings. Edited October 7, 2024 by Herodotus Problem has been rectfied with community help.
cardboard_killer Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 @Herodotus Sometimes the maping of axes can be finicky. Try mapping them, then rebooting the computer. If that doesn't work, try mapping them, then go into a scenario for a minute or so, exit and check the mapping for response. Eventually, it will show up. Be sure to move the stick to the extreme edges, too.
Herodotus Posted October 7, 2024 Author Posted October 7, 2024 Thanks very much, mate. Restarting my PC didn't do anything, but I followed your suggestion of remapping, but this time I wrenched the stick in the desired axis until I heard a click. Trying out the axis responses i the settings showed them still not working, but I jumped into a scenario, and bingo they're back. Now, thanks to your help, I can go back to airfield and FW 190-D bashing in my Typhoon 1B. Interesting how it takes me some long seconds to shoot one of those sons of guns down, but if they get on me, it's one shot, and I'm had it. The sniper rear gunner from “Rise of Flight” have reappeared in this game. Anyway, thanks for your help, as alles ist gut now.
