jollyjack Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Just saw a mountain mist layer on the Kuban Havoc campaign hanging between the mountains. Above it was a clear plm 1000 meters sky space, and then a cloud layer above it. How do you program that?
Jaegermeister Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Cloud types 6,7,8 and 9 all have dual layers with cirrus clouds above the lower types. I'm not sure who posted this reference spreadsheet, but it is very helpful when selecting weather types. IL2 Mission Editor Weather System.zip 1

Vendigo Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 I guess you just try one "cloud and haze" layer after another in Full mission editor, until you are satisfied with the result, or until you get one as close as possible to what you want to see. 1
Jaegermeister Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 (edited) I think one of the other cloud types.. 4 or 5, has thicker clouds above. Look at the images in the spreadsheet Also Vendigo is right, if it is early or late in the day, selecting ground fog and haze will add a thin cloud layer near the surface Edited October 6, 2024 by Jaegermeister 1
IckyATLAS Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 When you have selected the types with double cloud layer, then you can play with the altitudes too. It will make some differences. Besides that you need to try the various combinations of atmospheric parameters.
