Help with Elevator Trim.

I just hooked up my HOTAS after a long while of playing mouse aim, and I cant seem to get the elevator trim to work, I'm flying a P-51D, so I know it has elevator trim, I have the control bound in the settings, but clicking those buttons seems to do nothing.

Make sure you are using the trim axis commands, not the trim switch ones. The trim switch commands are used for a limited number of planes like the Hs 129, P-40, and Pe-2.

You can use external view in game to look at the stabilizer tabs to see if bindings are working. As above, make sure you have bound the right control, the trim axes and not the trim switches (used mostly for LW fighters). They have a default command, so see if that works for the trim. If they do, but the HOTAS binding does not work, then you may be binding to the wrong kind of control on the HOTAS, or some other issue with the communication between HOTAS and program.
