Been looking for a really good WW2 tank sim to move to from Steel Fury and Panzer Elite! Tank Crew seems to be fitting the bill and I am downloading it right now. I cannot wait to check it out! Seems support for it has slowed down or possibly died? Here's hoping the community can continue to breathe life into it for years to come because it looks like an absolute blast!

Welcome to the world of IL-2 Tank Crew!

After getting used to your keymapping for your tanks... and trying out this sim with single-player missions.
You can join some online MP servers like Advance and Secure (AAS) for some great missions. Even if you are alone on this server, you will be able to play against AI planes and tanks. Another great server for tanking (more people on weekends), it's Finnish VirtualPilots Dynamic War. This server is only human players, and you need to work as a combined group to take enemy flags and destroy Front Troops and targets.

Don't forget to look up the IL-2 Tank Crew Forum for news, tips and some great Multiplayer TC Events... Like this one, that AAS is having this Sunday, Sept.22.

Wow thank you for the warm welcome 007! I had no idea there was a 24/7 persistent AI server running nothing but tanks all day! That's awesome and will definitely put A LOT more mileage into this game after the custom missions deplete. I definitely want to do some PvP on that Finnish server! Thank you so much for all the information! I'm definitely staying glued to these forums for events, lol. I've already found so many user made missions, it's practically an entire expansion pack in these forums!

 

By the way, what is this community's opinion on Steel Beasts? I've been curious about it for a Modern Tank sim.

Had the chance to play on the AAS server. That is a whole lot of fun, lol. I can only imagine how chaotic that can be if all tanks and planes have people behind them.

You will have many players mostly in the afternoon (NA time) and on weekends.
But yes, with many players (in tanks and planes) and the AI tanks & planes, it's a good challenge for all!

I can't wait to dive back in later today. I have to say, it's really refreshing to be immersed in a game again. Hasn't happened in a very long time. I am absolutely in love with Tank Crew! And I'm all signed up on Discord and got my name down on the Google Doc for the event on the 22nd

Great stuff... nothing better than a good PvP TC mission to feel a real sim tank battle with 30 or more tankers!
Don't forget, it's always to have fun... but some of the tankers tomorrow are real veteran TC players.

If you're able, try to join the AAS Chat Discord at least 15 minutes before the time of the event, for strategy and tasks from our tank commander.
