Somnium VR1 question

I'm currently leaning towards a VR1 as an upgrade from my venerable Index.  But (and it's a big but) the lack of integrated audio, and what looks like a strap that will make over ear headphones uncomfortable, makes me pause.  Has anyone given any thought as to what kind of audio solution they would go with for it?

 

It has integrated microphones so that isn't an issue.  Weirdly though in the videos on the Somnium website they show users with some kind of integrated off ear earphones.

I bought the "HTC Vive Deluxe Audio Strap" in anticipation of getting mine.  They said the VR1 will have 3D printed attachment hooks for sale or download to print yourself at launch.  

The Deluxe Audio Strap is around $110.00 U.S.

Thank you.  Looking at their video again it seems that this is what they did for their video.
