Any Varjo XR-3 or XR-4 users here?

Received my XR-3 last week and getting it set up. Having a bit of issue with Masking for MR. I use a couple MFDs with paper guides I make up (pic is for DCS BF-109) to give me a ton of extra buttons. The issue is I want to be able to turn the mask on/off while flying and the Varjo Labtools app must be the program in-focus in windows for the masking on/off hot key to work. Wondering if i'm missing something simple or if it's just not possible. Maybe creating a chroma key setup behind these screens would work? Any hints would be appreciated!
