DetCord12B Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 My Thrustmaster is sh#$ting the bed and is having ghost button issues, so I'm looking at a replacement and came across NXT Evo. Wanted to know if anyone has any experience with this flight stick and what your opinions were on it like the stability of the stick (base), build quality, setup, etc. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. https://www.vkbcontrollers.com/products/gladiator-nxt-evo-wwii-combat-edition
spreckair Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 I don't have the WWII Combat Edition, but I do have the Space Combat Edition. I prefer it because I only fly in VR and therefore cannot use a keyboard; the Space Combat Edition has more inputs. But either way, this has been the only stick that I have used since getting back into flight simming three years ago, and I really like it. I don't see a need to replace it unless something really revolutionary (like flight control force feedback) comes along. Since my prior sticks were decades old MS force feedback, I can't compare it to anything newer, but because I like it so much, I just don't feel the need to try anything else at this time. The stick is all plastic, but a very solid and robust plastic, with very good quality and easy setup. For me it was just pretty much plug and play, although VKB also has a robust software program to make adjustments. I hope this helps.
=MERCS=JenkemJunkie Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 The base has a shorter throw than the thrustmaster (t16000m?) and a strong center detent, but if that doesn't bother you it's a good stick with a good build quality.
