Are all luascripts items moddable?

I've extracted scripts.gtp and made some changes to soundengine.cfg, but the changes don't show up in-game when the amended file is placed in the data/luascripts folder. There is nothing in the error log.

Are there some files from gtp's that won't be read when extracted?

Thanks,

Some of them can be edited. Others will be rejected by the game if it detects changes.

Note: You have to select 'mods on' in the launcher.

Thanks, mods is on and I have succesfully edited other files. Is there any log if the file is rejected?

Have you made it into a mod and then activated it? The mod enabler does the actual switcheroo if I'm not mistaken. If you just put the file in the Luascripts folder, the game will still read the .GTP file

Yes everything is set up correctly for it to work.

If by mod enabler you mean JSGME, then all that does is automate and make reversible the process of adding files into the game folders. Putting files manually into the game folders should have exactly the same effect.

The game itself has a mods enabled mode, whic must be on for the game to look for and read files that are not packed in .gpt files.

Avimimus has confirmed that some files will be rejected if altered, I guess this is one of them but would like confirmation.

Thanks

In general soundengine.cfg can be modified / works very well for me since nearly 2 years, I use it for each flight:
