Monster FFB Rhino DIY Kitbase - 95% preassembled (Supplementary to Kaltokri/Winger Kits)

Hi Folks,

Based on the awesome Work of @TheAmazingGreat (thanks for your permission to use your Work as a Base) I made some slight changes and am offering a VPForce MONSTER Rhino Kitbases. The "Monster" kitbase comes in 2 different variants with the following Specs:
A) STANDARD ISSUE - PETG 100% Gimbal (800,-€ plus shipping) or
B) PREMIUM ISSUE - laser sintered PA12 gimbal (550,-€ plus shipping)

- Grip-Connector for both Versions comes from Lasersintered PA12 (Compatible to the original VPForce CNC Aluminium Upgrade one).

- Housing printed from 100% infill PETG on high quality Bambu printers.

- XT60 Power connector.

- Metal Ruthex threaded Inserts.

- Heavy duty High Performance internal Power cables and emergency Stop Button.

- Utilizes the highest power available VPForce Motor Kit (86BLF04) - needs to be ordered separately from VPForce.

Due to the high price of the components of the PREMIUM ISSUE Gimbal i added the STANDARD issue wich can BE recommended for the use of Up to 20cm Extensions.

PREMIUM issue IS only recommended for people that want to use extreme Extensions Like Helicopter goosenecks.
This version needs to be preordered. Deliverytime is around 3 Weeks.

STANDARD ISSUE (PETG) Gimbal Versions will be in stock more often and new stock will be announced frequently.

So in case you were thinking about something like this, want the strongest Rhino Money can currently buy or just want to have more (testscwerent able to overheat even Düring extended dogfights) headroom before cooling kicks in but do'nt have the time or do'nt want to have the hassle to source all screws/Cables/bits & pieces, then this is for you.

UPDATE: The base now comes as preassembled kitbase. Bottom and front lid are only loosely installed so the effort for finishing the base is minimal on the customerside.

Hi all!
I am using the Monster Rhino for 3 weeks now. Previous I was using a "regular" Rhino and prior to that a Virpil CM2 Base. I have to say: the Rhino is an absolute plus for immersion and the real feel of the aircraft. But the Monster Rhino really is kick-ass! The best base I have ever used so far. I can strongly recommend this to everybody who is into FFB.

FYI: I get it the price i asked was heavy. I will now calculate a version that will feature
PETG printed Gimbal 100%
PA12 Lasersinter Gripconnetor
PETG Housing 100%
This way the base can be produced a lot cheaper.
I will offer to make these only to order. Production time will be 2-3 Weeks.
Ill update this thread with the price once i calculated it.

For anyone that might be interested in a Monster but was put off by the price I made a recalculation of a Version with diffrent materials used.
I can do 550,- plus shipping for the Kit
Except for the diffrent materials/printing process everything else will be the same.
So:
Gimbal PETG-CF 100% Infill FDM printed (instead of PA12 Lasersinter)
Gripconnector PA12 Lasersinter (Instead of CNC Aluminium - you can upgrade that if you wanted yourself. Its an easy swapout but IMHO not necessary)
Walls PETG 100% Infill FDM printed (Standard PETG instead of Prusament PETG)
High Quality, heavy duty Schneider Electric Emergency Stop
Ruthex Weld in Threads

Optional Ugrade:
Beltcovers 25,-
It will be a kit that you need to assemble yourself (everything but the Gimbal wich i will preassemble and the weld in threads will also be done already)
I can do the preassembly of the complete Base (except for motors) for you at an optional upcharge.

FYI @everyone From now on my kits will come almost completely preassembled.
The gimbal will already be "married" with the housing. All thats left to do is:
1. Mount Gripconnector (4 screws)
2. Take off bottom and front lid
3. Throw in motors and mainboard, connect all electronics
4. Strap on belts and aluminium pulleys
5. calibrate
6. Fly and be amazed by VPForce FFB magic!

This way more or less frequent arising questions regarding build will not arise anymore.
Even more convenience for the client!

Picked up one of these from @SR-F_Winger and had a working Rhino within 4 weeks. I used the biggest motors from VPForce (86BLF04) powered by a Mean Well 350/24 PSU and happy days. My Virpil Warbrd grip was plug and play - screw on, plug in and select from the dropdown in the configurator tool. Actually, as far as installation went, this joystick basically configured itself from a Windows point of view. Plug in USB, pop up appears, click on link and it asks you to download the app and update firmware. I used a conf file from Discord to give me a basic settings for propellor aircraft.  Recommended.

PSU is the Mean Well 350W 24V variant. Power via kettle lead into a fused rocker switch. This supplies live, neutral and ground to the PSU. I converted the XT60 cable to allow me to use spade tips when connected to the output from the PSU - XT60 uses a fairly thick cable.
