Hi

I'm having issues where the generator lists planes not owned, and i cannot figure out why?  It seems to be installed correctly, as I made a mission and flew it without issue.  But i had to change the dates around, and the squadron, just to get a plane I could fly.  I understand I can also change what planes my squadron uses during the campaign, but is this how it's supposed to work?

I'm trying to make a co-op campaign for myself and a mate, who only owns bos and bon, and it's making it quite difficult to make a campaign he can actually fly with me in.

I tried reinstalling without success.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are getting "plane not owned" messages from the editor then the planes that you want to assign to a player are not listed in PWCG as owned.  PWCG has no idea what you really own.  It believes whatever you tell it.  Planes Owned is a page off of the main screen.

If you go to Activities->Equipment request you can substitute some of your planes for others.  Normandy, or the western front in general, is probably your best bet as BoN planes from the US, Britain, and France are available through the BoN time frame and well into the BoBP time frame.

Thanks for replying!  I should have mentioned, i've gone through and selected the planes I own.  It keeps giving me a Spitfire MkVB (not owned) for 1941 through to 1942, only from 1943 onward it changes to MkIXc.  I am aware I can change planes through the equipment page, but is this working as intended, or should it not be giving me the MkVB?  As I typed this, I have realised the MkVB is probably the only plane available during that period...

That is correct and it is based on a combination of historical accuracy and the fact that PWCG does 1940 in 1941, so things are delayed.  Unfortunately, the British planes that I use for early war are sold as collector planes and were released primarily as Russian planes.  The earliest western module is June 1944, so me putting together anything earlier is, by necessity, a bit of a mash up.

Equipment change only allows you to swap for available equipment.  A German player, for instance, can't swap in a Me-262 in 1941.

If you are counting on the BoN planes then 1943 is about as early as you are going to manage.  My best suggestion is start the campaign when the planes that you own are available, which is 1943.  The alternative is to buy a couple of collector planes that work in the timeline that you want to play.
