352nd_Persecutor Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 Our group hosts a Dedicated Server; we recently were able to upgrade the connection from 1g to 10g. Our server machine has network connections of both speeds, one at 2.5g and the other at 10g. Our DServer connects fine from the 2.5g connection but fails to connect to the master server on the 10g connection. I suspect a configuration setting issue but lack the necessary skills and understanding to solve the failure to connect, assuming that it is possible to connect a Dserver to the master via 10g at all. Anyone with more knowledge than I possess able to offer a solution? Any help is greatly appreciated and I am prepared to learn that the solution, if possible at all, is simple. 352nd Persecutor
352nd_Persecutor Posted September 12, 2024 Author Posted September 12, 2024 Disregard. The cause and solution to the problem were staring me in the face, as so often happens. New network interface equals new LAN IP address. Edit the configuration to conform to the new IP address and voila, a connection. Duh.
