Now that's great news, options built in for long sticks and high end gear like the new FFB's.  Might have to get me one now.

I really gotta start saving up for an FFB. I'd love to just get one I could mount on a stand on the floor and then put a stick on with a nice extension and get the perfect flight stick that can reflect the planes I'm flying or make helicopters an absolute blast to fly without having to use the faked force trim.

Turned the sound off, put sub titles on... joy!

Fascinating!  Thank you so much for such an informative and interesting briefing.  :clapping:

Great communication.  Well done!

Happy landings,

Local stalls seems very interesting, as it can make planes fly in a more diverse way, as different designs have those issues differently. Some planes even had special fixes to counter asymmetric stalls at landing, which is very dangerous, as the plane flops over near the ground with no possibility to recover it..

I love these kinds of engineering details!

In real planes feedback from pedals effects happens in some planes different than others, in the warbird I fly, pedals shake a lot before a stall, in the Cessnas they do nothing before a stall, just get softer, and in both planes they get stiffer at higher speeds, that's it.

Pedals do not give you feedback when deploying flaps or gear. engine rumble feeling its minimal compared to a stick.

Hope they are modeled correctly and not arcade giving feedback unrealistically.

I have the Rhino FFB and so far its pretty good.

Really good video this time!
The new control and FM behaviour seems to be a great step forward.

Also, great to see that more GB content is coming with a new expansion!

Kind regards,

Moza har just released the first major commercial FFB in decades. People are just about to get them.

Winwing is working on their ffb base and virpil has started early development of their ffb base.

They sure did intentionally draw attention to that F9F model on the desk, is that a hint?

Well, they want to do carriers so I'd say that's a safe bet...

Oh? I didn't notice?! Subconsciously I might've... but something blocked me from consciously noticing.

The new planes on the table are models from my own collection, approximately matching the Korean war era years (Banshee is generally post-war). Just so there would be more planes on the table)

Oh yeah! All sorts are coming around. Previously, it was pretty much just waiting on hand-built ones or building them yourself.

Now Mosa and WinWing are offering FFB options that you can get for I believe under $600. The WinWing one hasn't come out yet, and the Mosa base appears to be in early access, but the videos I've seen are looking pretty promising.

Always great to learn about the attention to detail the !C/777 Team puts in the development👍

Hope they can backport all new feature to the GB series... although later in the video they mention really deep updates to the flight dynamics engine which will be different in Korea.

Will the new engine be used on some kind of "GB2" or will both platforms continue to get developed independently?

It has been stated several times that GB will not get the new features introduced in Korea.  t

The old engine that GB uses is not capable of doing the things that the new updated one for the Korea setting will be using.

After the Odessa expansion and FC4, I would not expect any further massive improvements to the old game.

The entire point of the new engine is that backporting to all existing content is not feasible.

yep, arrived to that same conclusion after listening to the full stream of "episode9", and I believe it would be quite a task, but maybe in the future a new GB II could be created making use of the new techniques...

GB will be past history... after Korea they are going back to WWII with the Pacific theatre, when they have finished with that (this will be several years probably) and no one has a Scooby Do where they will be going next. They could stay with WWII, or they may well end up doing Vietnam jet combat...
