I am needing some insight please. I've had my Crystal light, local dimming version for a couple months now, and love the clarity I see with it, but right from the beginning I was noticing like a pixelation issue around the outside area of the sweet spot, it would be a small area that would come and go in different places. I also have an issue of when trying to fly at night it's like looking through a fog or through frosted lens, everything is washed out and blurry. I contacted Pimax tech support, they said it was due to faulty lens and would send me replacement lens, well almost months later I received the replacement lens yesterday. Last night I tested with the new lens installed and still have the same issues but one thing I did have happen was when I loaded into a nighttime flight the headset loaded a clear night view for a few seconds and then reverted back to the washed-out foggy view. I emailed Pimax support telling them the issues were not resolved with the new lenses; now they want to send another set of lenses saying the replacement set must also be defective. Personally, I don't think it's anything to do with the lenses and it's a headset problem but I'm certainly no expert on how these headsets work. What do you guy's think the issue is, headset or lenses? Thanks for any advice

I had a similar issue, along with many other problems with tracking and Pimax Play constantly freezing. I sent it back for a refund after a month of persistent issues. Back to the G2 for now.

Agree that what you describe about it being clear and then suddenly getting washed out doesn’t sound like a lenses issue. I’m no expert either but would think it has to do with the panels…

I also had issues with my first headset and my experience with Pimax customer service is that they don’t really employ a great deal of critical thinking and will go through a series of script steps until finally accepting to replace the headset.

My first headset had 1) significant distortion and 2) significant blurriness. My second headset has no distortion but does continue to have some blurriness that I cannot seem to get rid of.

Unfortunately Pimax is just not there when it comes to producing a quality device. So sad because the PCL has so much potential if it just worked…

lol Now to top it off, after removing the replacement set of lenses to put the original back in because the replacements are worse than the originals the little brass threaded grommet that hold the lenses in place has fallen out inside the headset! So, I've had to take the headset apart to retrieve it so it doesn't short the whole headset out, now I can't secure the right lense in place. The quality control is definitely lacking to say the least.
