Well if I understand your question i believe to have the same settings in custum as would in simplified,  you just check all the same boxes as those that are set during simplified settings?

Nor sure I'm following your question I suppose (and not at pc right now), but seems like you just click on the boxes on the right side for simplified flight, others are aiming help,  external views, etc..

I want to take the wind out of the setup if I go into a realistic server the wind is what’s blowing me all over the place I have took things out one be one and it seems to be the wind blowing me from side to side trying to find which settings would help my plane to fly straight and level

If I read you correctly you need to add trim controls to your setup. Aileron trim to level you out side-to-side, elevator trim for up down. You usually set trim for level flight at ~350-400kph.. IF thats what you are looking for.

Never Mind, I see you only own FC 1, no trim on WWI planes, you need to fly it!

In quick mission you have control of the weather, time of day, clouds, etc..  just a check box on the mission setup.

Mitch. I think he is saying that he uses the simplified set up in single player, but when he's tried multi player the turbulence is a bit of a shock to the system. So he wants to know how to fly with simplified ctrls on a server. Simple answer, you can't, the server sets the settings. Maybe there is a WW1 server with simplified settings, I remember there used to be one with icons. But he announced in another thread he has given up and is leaving.

Have you calibrated your stick within the Logitech software yet?  What you describe sounds like an uncalibrated joystick.

I worked with him on calibration,  as that was what jumped out at me as well.   However,  the focus was on calibration through windows. Not knowing anything about Logitech sticks or software,  that seemed, pardon the pun, logical.  Would using Logitech software have produced a better calibration?

Dunno which Logi stick he has, but I think yes, one would think the Logi software would work best... but it doesn't . Here is an (old) video on calibrating the Extreme in Windows..
