In addition to the WWI additions and improvements, there will be a lot of other changes from the career mode including new mission types to the correction of certain aircraft such as the Tempest

New mission types…. Also for Flying Circus? I had a lot of fun with support/attack tank assaults in the WW2 careers.

Would be nice have this fun also at the Western Front 1916-18 😀

To be honest, they are missing a massive part of the pre D-day missions that the Tempest did…IE…the destruction of radar sites, be good if these were added 👍

I guess lack of ressources to create templates is the bottle neck.

So much possibilities:

Quote

Attacks on radar installations, wireless telegraph and navigation stations paralysed enemy telegraph and telephone traffic, and made air and sea reconnaissance almost impossible. A total of 49 coastal batteries that covered the sea lanes were also attacked with some success. An important side effect of the offensive against the railways was that 18,000 men of the OT (Organisation Todt, a construction division of the German Wehrmacht) had to abandon urgent work on the Atlantic Wall and repair railway lines.

We have, but there are no anti-radar missions in career mode.

Not sure - testing for FC career mode is still in progress right now with the map being finalized.

strutter?

Hang on...Are we getting a version for right- handed pilots as well?🤣

I know the performance is identical but there has to be something to complain about.😉

So, I take it there will be no early access or preorders of FC IV?

They would be, but unfortunately the radar has been destroyed by marauding Tempests 😂😂

We really need infantry though ;) ...and horse drawn columns...

Typhoons getting in the way of themselves is oddly plausible. Truly magnificent things, those Typhoons, but with a bit of a reputation at times...

Encouraging news - these are my favorite era of WW1 planes. But I will wait until we see how the DH2 flies before buying anything.. it was a completely useless aircraft in ROF (couldnt even hold its own against a EIII). I believe they have corrected a bug in the FM which they found this time around, so fingers crossed the FC vol IV is closer to the real thing and can actually fight..

Ok so this is how many volumes of WW1 now with no WW2 maps or updates. Can we get some love too jeez not all of us like flying around in tight circles for hours then taking another hour to get back to base. I thought the next map was almost done a year ago...

I suggest you look at some of the recent updates we've posted - most importantly in the last week.

WWI received two new aircraft in twelve years... and there are three aircraft that aren't being added due to WWI having only the Western Front map (i.e. no Channel Map). WWII has received 27 stand-alone aircraft, and six modules (i.e. 48 aircraft and six maps) in the last twelve years.

And the poor Eindecker and DH.2 pilots are still desperately searching for a 2 seater that they can catch :) .  Actually, I can often catch an FE2b in an Eindecker, but only because they start zig zagging.

I've been waiting to fly a lot of these early Great War planes in VR for 10 years or more, since I first heard about the Oculus Rift on the RoF forums. Can't wait!

Yes, this is very important. Albatros B.I and II would be nice to train with. Also the early Farmans would bring some romantic steampunk elements to the sim

First day of purchase! I very like early biplanes and Fokker E.3. I hope only, that we will recive those models in campaigns too.
