WarSlothdsbeckett Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Both versions of the P-47D quickly stall when applying aft pressure on the controls. Regardless of airspeed, power setting, altitude, or aggressiveness with the flight controls, the aircraft quickly stalls and enters a spin whenever a climb is initiated. Even after a dive with 80-100% power applied, any attempt to recover from the dive will stall the aircraft. I have tried to duplicate the symptoms with several (not all) other aircraft and so far it appears to be exclusive to the P-47.

WarSlothdsbeckett Posted September 9, 2024 Author Posted September 9, 2024 freeflight.2024-09-09_22-14-57_00.zip Is this what you need? Level flight, good airspeed, good trim and unable to enter a climb without a violent roll and loss of control. Please let me know if you need anything else, thanks!
1CGS LukeFF Posted September 9, 2024 1CGS Posted September 9, 2024 I'll share it with the QA team, thanks. 1

I just did a test a few minutes ago, by slowing and entering a spin at 15'000 feet (just in case). After three turns I could bring it out with a standard rudder and counter roll , let it take some speed and get out, it worked perfectly. I fly with custom setup : Engine warmed Throttle Auto Limit Engine Auto Control Radiator assist the AI takes care of fuel mixture, overheating, propeller pitch, and so I only have to play with the throttle. I agree not very realistic but all the rest remains unchecked, so it is only the engine. Now if you run the engine without some assistance, then be careful about all the engine parameters and way you have programmed the axis of each function I also had a side effect where the throttle, propeller, mixture all full front locked or all full back locked. You could not have any intermediate position. What happened in fact is that the plane P47 which is heavy and brakes in air like a wall loses speed very quickly, you think you are 50% power but no you are 0% power. Then if you are too slow without knowing it and pull the stick down you go and like a brick so if you are at under a 1000 meters beware! So to be sure do as I am doing and have no issue just to check it is fine.

Same here, impossible to fly with this plane without stall
