Is it just a feeling or is it really mostly germans talking bad about everything, maybe its just my own feeling because i'm one myself but it keeps coming up again and again as being true...

Anyway:

I really appreciate the info on everything and that the devs still do all this (infos, devblogs, listening to the community and it's critics) for this (again feeling) very rude, in some regards, forum.

Keep up the good work and hopefully everything doesn't end up too stressy in the final pre-release phase.

I am not German.

However, I am welcome to an opinion and I am welcome to stating it within the rules of this public forum.

Thanks for your condecension, though. This can be a rather rude forum.

I'm in tech too, so I understand how these things go. I'm one of those IL-2 BoS fans who has a three-monitor setup. For me, it's OK to fly at reduced resolution (3840 x 720 for now). I don't use SLI, just one 780 card with two monitors on DVI-2 and one on HDMI, but I guess it amounts to the same thing?

Nu, vse budet xorosho ;) I slava bogu, 4to sevodnia piatnitsa. Pivo. Butylki. Dazhe i vodka. Zakuski. Devushki ;) Nu do sleduschii ras :-)

What you say says a lot more about YOU than it does about other people.  Its just strange that YOU are the only one that think the communication should be better....  strange.  Weekly updates on the dot are pretty damn close as you can get to perfect communication.  Timely, consistent, and more often than not filled with new content.

Anyway.  Yes thanks Devs for the heads up!  I hope next week goes smooth!  Until then there is a new 24/7 stalingrad server with a 3 hr time-limit and no auto balance to enjoy!!!

Uhhh, on the contrary... Every other EA I have participated in has had better and more consistent communication with its purchasing/testing community... But OK.

Anyway, not surprised on the wait... But what can you do?

Can you back that statement up?  What are these early access titles that you think provide such stellar service?  I've seen the trend of your attitudes towards developers here and on other flight sim websites, and I'm genuinely curious to know what if anything manages to meet your expectations.

Zak, thanks for the news.

Sounds like the next update is going to be a good one!

Good luck with it,

No problem! Thank's for the heads up.

P.S What is the rudder problem the 109 is having atm? (late for the party, I know)

Apparently there is some instability in the yaw axis, and the rudder is probably more effective than it should be IRL.

The instability, or most probably an overdone yaw-on-roll effect, makes it difficult to use the rudder to fly coordinated, and since at last the Bf109 is well known for the continuous rudder deflection needed in cruise and at higher speeds to overcome the effects of the asymmetric shape of the vertical tail surface ( which wasn't made symmetric to help countering the torque effects at higher power / low speed / high AoA situations ).

Nice explanation, thank you!

I consider the FX underwhelming. The tracers seem out of scale and round, hit flashes on AC render in the space behind the AC, the super black smoke from AC is noticeably 2D and squared off, FX disappear at times, and there's no wind effecting smoke on the ground - just a straight vertical plume. I hope to see things like this addressed as well as some of the stange DM stuff happening to plane debris. I also hope to see flame outs and under carriage DM implemented!

Thanks for the communication, Zak. hope things aren't too crazy for the dev team.

You know germans are professionals at everything, especially criticizing :P

As long as it is constructive it's welcome to read crtitics to me. There's definetly still a lot to be improved ingame, so it doesn't wonder why critics speak up so frequently currently.

S!

A bit over a month to release so I bet devs are working with a fire under their butts now.

Posted

I do not expect this game to be "100%" ready at release date and I never did. There are no games nowdays done like "here we are finished and now we move on to other game project".It is more of continuous improvement philosophy.Everyone who expects it to be "100%" at release is living in land of dreams/past century.

Because with continuous improvment you are never at 100%.You always challenge your self to be better, faster, more efficient, well ahead of competition.

For me,September 2014 is just another month in calendar.

+1 Exactly...  It's a soft line in the sand.

In today's climate a game that is released, works just fine as advertised, and never gets an update of any kind, is assumed to be abandoned by the devs.  I also believe that people shy away from purchasing games that have never been updated.  They are definitely the exception and not the rule.

Posted

There's one exception - Aerowinx PSX - just like PS1, it is Perfect right from the release version... and the next weeks will find me less at the controls of one of those wonderful ww2 machines in IL2 BOS and DCS World :-)

This hobby is sooooooo addictive!

Seems that some are expecting that right now....

And no....there will never be a 100% ever....with the compexity of todays games.

So, if the game will not be at 100% at release.... then why we should pay the 100% of the price??

Don't pay anything if that suits you.

Flight sims are always developing - this sim won't be 100% finished for quite a long time.

The Question where you expect more from a Modder that do it for free with effort or Someone who say what is with money all possible?

I say just for example Team Fusion Mod from CloD released by Modders vs CloD original released by Ubisoft.  And who was who known how to made the game better?

If the Games would be Open Source or work with the Devs together you can not imagine what Modders could do.  No more hide the great mods because of copyright.

I'm ready! It comes with the patch today?

Oh yes, I can very much imagine: a little of very good stuff, some average, and tons of crap...

I don't even need to imagine, We experienced it in real with CFS, as users, spending hours sorting the few good stuff from the ocean of crap...... I wouldn't like to experience that again.

Yep - exactly what would happen.

Hours and hours of spare time most of us don't have.
