This week I literally have no idea. The HE 111 won't be ready yet, they've stated why the FW cockpit is the way it is and how the probably won't change it, FM's take weeks to optimise and the singleplayer takes a while too. So I really don't know what to expect.

If any thing, further optimization.  Although for me this game is already a better performer than RoF, I understand that some are still having problems.

Yeah im wondering too.  It may be one of those no update weeks. Just information on what they are working on.  Personally id like to see some new missions on MP.  Like a "attack some fuel and ammo depot" missions.  Getting close to release though.  So we'll see.

A tinee tiny taste of the campaign mode?

 

Objective based MP?

 

Fixed the cloud AA issue?

 

Last gauges working?

 

Small fixes (Fw 190 trim, sound cutting out etc)?

Considering BoS's stunning VFX, I'd love to see an ammo dump explode! :D

I consider the FX underwhelming. The tracers seem out of scale and round, hit flashes on AC render in the space behind the AC, the super black smoke from AC is noticeably 2D and squared off, FX disappear at times, and there's no wind effecting smoke on the ground - just a straight vertical plume. I hope to see things like this addressed as well as some of the stange DM stuff happening to plane debris. I also hope to see flame outs and under carriage DM implemented!

I'm just hoping they get round to fixing error 10009 which makes me disconnect from every server

Hopefully server optimization, fix for Fw 190 ground behaviour, raised cloud level for Stalingrad map in MP (last time I flew it was 600m...) to enable dive bombing / energy fighting again instead of favouring cloud jerking and GL turnfiighting.

 

What I extremely wished for (though I'd be very positively suprised about):

 

1.Better solution for 190 cockpit issue nailing it once and for all.

2. He 111 (who doesn't want to get his hands on this beauty?).

I tried getting something going with tridef last night. Got close but its still not anything close to native support. Cant get the depth anywhere close

Fuel gauges? Maybe BoS editor? AA cloud problems? Id like to have this.

Infantry has my vote, Also credit for structural damage done, Airstrips, hangers, parked aircraft, etc. Even if small amount of credit or points would be nice to see my bombs did some good other than just hitting AA. Art & Vehicles.

Explosion effects look very disappointing. Smoke disappears way too quickly and not even in a fluent way. And blast is 2D.

It definately needs way more attention to get it convincing.

I'm afraid we have to forget about that 'cause in April game was finished for 90% according Zak. So the 4, 5, 6% left rigth now will be addressed to other parts.

I agree with the rest of your criticisms, but not this. Apart from the fact, that all tracers are the same color and too bright at distance, I think they look more or less perfect.

 

IRL tracers look like glowing balls, it's only in a video recording that they appear elongated.

Yes, you all know that the game is now at 63% or so.

And it is very easy to update these effects thanks to the launcher that does all the updating in time.

Disappearing smoke is a matter of optimization, and after a final cycle of it the devs may reconsider longevity of some of the effects - we'll see.

yeah, but the undercarriage damage and the hit flashes behind the planes are a big immersion killer. (for me)

Haha! I love those things; my dad's got one, which I've now permanently borrowed.

Also it's great that the launcher gives you that kind of flexibility!

That's fair enough, personally I find the effect of aircraft hitting the ground may need some tweaking. But each to their own. Edited by LeafyPredicament

howabout fixing the F12 too, I unbind it from center view. But it still re-centers the view.. when I use it for screen shots in Steam.

I'm always happy with anything new that I can actually notice - anything. (as opposed to under the hood stuff which is equally necessary obviously)

Doesn't matter what it is.
