ACG_Wobbel Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 The 109 have - water radiator - Oil radiator To watch and possible to manage The 190 - cowl , what dos this do and how to monitor ? Is it the cooler for oil ? Any one that can explain 😁
firdimigdi Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 It's got an air-cooled radial and only has an oil radiator, adjusting the intake changes the amount of air that goes through the cowlng. Switch to external camera and look at your plane head-on while adjusting the cowling to see what moves. 1

[CPT]Crunch Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 Open your cockpit on the ground and put your head out the side, those are the outlet shutters you control on Anton's. You'll see them move when you crank the control, on the Dora it's the flaps on the front cowl, you should be able to see part of the top ones from in the pit. The Dora has a bit of thermal regulation going on so partly automated depending where you place the setting. The A-4 has zero control for the pilot.
MaxPower Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 On the early Antons, the oil cooler is fed from the somewhat fan pressurized engine compartment which squeezes air forwards through the oil cooler then out through the ring around the front of the cowl. This air also feeds the supercharger (the supercharger ducts are the reason for the teardrop shaped blisters on the engine cowling). Later variants had adjustable shark gill like doors behind the exhaust. 2 1
