Guys im having an issue with my brand new Hotas. I have a Turtle Beach Flight deck.

In IL-2 I cannot map the throttle as an axis, it only registers as buttons. I cannot find a solution to the issue anywhere.. Does anyone else use this Hotas or know the fix?

@Npeters123 try turning off the virtual detent and deadzone control. From the manual:Capture.thumb.JPG.5bc3525a33c3c49ab549eee3b8ac0380.JPG

I figured it out.

So in that haptic detent screen, you have to lower the haptic 'buttons' all the way to the bottom. and then be sure not to go that far when mapping the axis.

Thank you for leading me in the right direction!

Hi, I have same problem now.

Could you tell me what is the 'button'?

Did you meant haptic toggle button?

Or detent slider bar?

Hi m8. The haptic detent markers are recognized as a button when the throttle passes over them, as do the top and bottom broken black and orange bars. You cant have the throttle travel touch any of these or they will be assigned instead of the axis movement. Do as Npeters123 says. On your throttle base touch screen. Lower all six white line detent indicators to the bottom. Then activate your key maping for the engine thrust and lower your throttle so it is almost at the bottom, just before it activates it as a button. Then raise it to almost the top and come down again. You might have to try this a few times but you should get it. Good luck!

No

The one that has planes that you think you'll like.  That or the cheapest one.

To put this into context, it depends if you play multiplayer a lot.  Some servers are predominantly Normandy or Bodenplatte, some are Stalingrad and Kuban with a few Moscow and other maps thrown in.  They all use different aircraft.

As an alternative you can just buy a collector plane to fly around in - you get all of the content but can only fly in that one aircraft but it lets you figure out if you like it or not.

Thanks M8.
