=gRiJ=Oversturm Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 I'm thinking of switching to VR, but after reading and reading, I've seen that each one has its pros and cons, some that the W11 upgrade will hurt them etc. That's why I prefer to ask those who control the subject. If it is the right time or better to wait. Thanks

=gRiJ=Oversturm Posted August 14, 2024 Author Posted August 14, 2024 The cards for less than 900€ that you would buy. And if you would wait for the RTX50. S!
DBCOOPER011 Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 I would get the 4080 Super followed by the 4070TI Super if wanted now. I'm guessing it will be around 6 months before you can get the next generation video card from Nvidia..
Aapje Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 It looks like the VRAM amounts will suck again for the RTX50-series. I do expect a fairly decent improvement in price/performance. But it is probably at least Q2 until the 5070 Ti and Q3 for the 5070. So you might have to wait a bit. Right now, I think that the 4070 Super is the most decently priced card with somewhat decent power to play VR, but it's still a bit mediocre. But the 4070 Ti Super is underwhelming and the 4080 Super is quite a bit above your budget.
HazMatt Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 (edited) I got the 4070Super and the quest 2 for between 800-900(USD) and it's been good so far. If I were to do it today I'd prob get the 4070S and the quest 3 for not much more. Edited August 14, 2024 by HazMatt
