glider42 Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 Hi all, I'm thinking about getting a Meta Quest 3 VR headset. However, I'm not sure my PC is up to running it at a decent quality in IL2. These are my current specs: Windows 10 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz, 3000 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s) Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 16.0 GB Available Virtual Memory 27.9 GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER Current display: 2560 x 1440 Looking online, it seems this would be sufficient to run the Q3 with a cable link, but at what quality? I'd appreciate any feedback on whether this would likely produce reasonable graphics and FPS in IL2. Note: I would be using OpenXR rather than SteamVR. Thanks in advance.

glider42 Posted August 4, 2024 Author Posted August 4, 2024 Thanks, Husar. Out of curiosity, what do you think would make the most difference: CPU, RAM, graphics card?

You could run an older headset like the Rift S no problem, but not the Q3 at acceptable quality/performance.
glider42 Posted August 11, 2024 Author Posted August 11, 2024 Thanks 356thFS_Drewm3i-VR, it sounds like I need to invest in new gear!
