=MERCS=JenkemJunkie Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 You could just leave it at 50% and you probably would never overheat your engine, but that's a very conservative number and you'd be causing lots of unnecessary drag. I usually keep them around 10-20% on the E7 and only open them more if needed, which I usually only need to if I'm slow for long periods. 1
Yogiflight Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 Why don't you go for the temperatures? Look at the Specifications, which temperaures you need to keep and open your flaps just as much as you need. In the Moscow career you can fly at cruising with oil and water radiator flaps fully closed. For takeoff and combat you need a few percent of opening, but much. In the summer at Stalingrad you will need a bit more opening.
=MERCS=JenkemJunkie Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 I use both, I have a default % depending on the plane I like to start with, then adjust from there.
