When Will the Focke-Wulf be Ready?

you are wrong

This is off topic so you can always go back to that thread on the LEMB and dispute the results of the ladeplan, authorized loadouts, and weight/balance instructions from Focke Wulf.  I just go by what was authorized on their design.

Why the big rush to get to 1944?

Early war scenarios are far more interesting, and have way cooler planes, oh, but I forgot...

No uber cannons.

I swear, if the FW 190 was armed with six .50 machine guns, none of you guys would touch it with a ten foot joystick.

Focke wulf 190  anton is a belt high speed handling and best roll rate over any fighter in the war and that tactics u can employ with these attributes???

Brook, I understand we have a language barrier, but read my post again.

It's all about the guns.

The ladeplan says the the C/G is within limits (0.48>0.69) at 0.489. :)

We had that in IL2 too, all those kids begging for late war gun monsters, or the even wackier "what ifs" to the post war jets.

Give it a bit of time and threads are going to pop up "When do we get a Sabre jet".

Fortunately most of that ????ber junk was never visible on any descent servers.

I am really hoping the makers to not heed to the kids who view WWII as something that only started end of 1944 and went to "what if"

Otherwise no one would have ever had the opportunity to fly a IL2.

As a 190 pilot I have to disagree with that, I certainly don't fly it just for the big guns in fact for a while I hated the 190, it was only after I had learnt to fly the aircraft a certain way did I see the benefits of its performance over the 109. If you fly the 190 like a 109 with more guns your not going to get very far!

You are certainly giving up a huge advantage in climbing ability when you transfer from a 109 to a 190.

Yes from ~5.75m/s (~1080f/m) at SL to ~3.75m/s (~740f/m) at 5000m. (Fw190A-5, Bf109G?)

You can learn to counter the turn advantage of spits etc with the snap roll and dog fight in the fw190 and not just zoom and boom, what you did with the 109 at merge would be a tight zoom climb left or right , in the 190 would be the same but snap roll down left or right and pull back up and remerge for the next pass , the lighter 190,s like the A4 A6,s did this a treat , but love A9 for its raw power ,  and  the fw190 anton can do a rolling scissors with any thing at any speed and if u feel need to brake a spits S is also option B)

Well said... proper tactics and knowledge of the airplane are key. The FW190 is more that way than most warbirds thus why there are so many positive and negative detractors :)

We live 20 minutes away from the airfield where they have this, I was lucky to see it in action last summer and I took a bunch of photos (including this one :P

Must be so boring watching it and the 109E and Fieseler Storch flying, day in day out. (New neighbour jumps out of skin as Fw screams past at low altitude "Geez, what was that???!!" "Oh just the Focke-Wulf beating up the clothes line again, nothing interesting, yeah?") :coffee:
