AcesHigh Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 (edited) Using a thrustmeter warthog joystick and throttle, none of the buttons on the joystick will map however I can assign the joystick axis and roll fine. Example I want the index finger button to fire all guns but can't get any button on the joystick to map, nothing is recognized when I try to assign it. All the buttons on the throttle work though. Anyone know how I can fix this? Edited July 24, 2024 by AcesHigh
AcesHigh Posted July 24, 2024 Author Posted July 24, 2024 (edited) Yes buttons work in windows and DCS and FS, the joystick works also I can pitch up and roll, just can not map any buttons in IL2. I have not played in about a year, just came back. It like it does not recognize the joystick for anything other than an axis Edited July 24, 2024 by AcesHigh
Hoss Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 (edited) Load TARGET, update your firmware, ensure your driver is up to date as well. Without TARGET GUI, you can't do any keyboard emulation, (LShf + Q) only dx presses (joy_1_button_6). Go to Thrustmaster support and download the driver for TMWH, and the instructions on how to update firmware (Stick and throttle have their own separate firmware) Once that's done and ruled out as a problem, you'll be one step closer to full fidelity with your HOTAS. AcesHigh Posted July 24, 2024 Author Posted July 24, 2024 Thank you guys for the replies. I'm guessing my install was bad, I uninstalled and reinstalled IL2 and it's working now. Maybe it was a corrupt config file or something. Anyway all good now. Thanks
