Another one DIY simshaker project needs help... (Office chair and shakers positioning)

Hello everyone, after posting my gaming corner here, I was suggested the next update should be some haptics. Looking into a "buy and play" solution, I found buttkicker, but it is kinds pricey here in Canada, so I started looking at DIY projects.

I use a regular office chair (good for checking your six in VR since you can swivel a little) and now I am trying to decide the number of shakers to use.

Budget allows to 2 good 50W shakers like this one: Dayton BTS-1 50W

One amplifier/USB sound card: Amplifier

Now, for positioning of the shakers, in stereo mode, should I put both underneath the seat on left and right configuration, OR one underneath and one at the back? Which one would make more sense and help with localization of the vibrations better?

Should I use 4x smaller shakers in a two underneath and two at the back, stereo configuration?

Thank you!

Hi, I had the same dilemma as you so finally I decided to put two daytons 50 w under my chair ( swivel too ) left-right configuration and after some time I got some cheap 4xdaytons 25 watts for my upper and down back.It works fine this way. If you putt one dayton underneath you and one more behind your back you will loose some left-right shaking effects. For higher immersion I propose left-right configuration with simshaker.

All right, setup complete!

Ended up with two Dayton BST1 underneath the seat in stereo mode. Got sim shaker wings with IL2 working yesterday, and WOW, it is really a road you cant go back!

My only question now is with the roll effect, I can feel it very distinctly with the stereo, but seem a little irreal (words from someone who never flew a plane...) so, do you guys keep it on or off?
