Before you start an endless monologue about triangles and distance to enemy tank measured by its size please give me an answer that makes sense on the following topic.

You can adjust the reticle with the mouse wheel, and it changes indeed.problem is there is no where to be seen at which step it currently is.

In every other tank you have numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 etc.

Ferdinand just has some triangles and thats it.after moving the range a bit back and forth you completely lost, not having the slightest clue what range you actually at oO?

please explain, this nonsense coud never be state of the art in this tank.tbh its a joke

  • LukeFF changed the title to Ferdinand Range Finding?

To see reports about what the sight is set to turn on Settings, Basic Options, In Game Messages, Technical. With each 50m increment change, a message will briefly pop up along the right side of the screen. This is really helpful if you are zoomed in on the sight so far that the scale numbers are hidden. It also reports the range changes for each individual scale on the reticle related to the different ammo types.

Service to the line,

One the line,

On time!

To find the set distance, the gunner had to remove his eye from the gunsight. So press the button for 'Toggle to gunsight' then you will see three turnable scales under the gunsight. I don't know about the upper one, but the two below are labeled with 'Spr' (Sprenggranate which means high explosive round) and Pzgr 39' (Panzergranate 39 the armor piercing round). When moving your range up or down, you can se the scales turning. By changing your ammo type, you will see the distance setter move up or down to the selected ammo type.
