Italien und Romanian voices

I would like to ask a question: There is a lot of talk today about the new AI and what it can do. There are Italian and Romanian planes in the game but there is still no language for both countries. Couldn't you just use the AI to translate the German pilots' communication into Italian and Romanian without using real people?

We would, among other things, also need to create new database entries for Romania and Italy for this to be workable. At this stage of GB's development that is not likely to happen.

Out of curiosity (I didn’t even know about this game until Summer 2016), was there a tentative plan to go to the MTO after BoM (El Alamein, Tunisia or Sicily) and the MC.202 would be the stepping stone for that? With all due respect to the devs, that plane saw very limited action on the Eastern Front doing only 17 sorties and with no plans for an MTO battle or Italian voices it feels very much a white elephant.

 

I hope that someone will make an MTO map to finally give this plane a proper home.

I'm pretty sure I once saw a community poll a very long time ago where the question was whether an MC 202 or an IAR80 would be more interesting to make. Back then, the MC202 won, and I guess that's why it was made. This was many years ago, and now, of course, we have both.😁

Hoping in future  in a third part effort in order to add al little map of Italy and of course same other italian plane..

It would be cool, but it seems from what I've seen on the Finnish map that things like this take years and a huge effort. I know the Velikiye Luki map was made by one person, not sure how long that took. It is, in my opinion, the best-looking map.

Alright found it, not really a Poll but a lot of the community was interested in the C.202 being added than the IAR: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/73652-what-fighter-of-non-german-origin-would-you-be-most-interested-in/#comment-13507

 

But given the near lack of action it saw at Stalingrad compared to how much the C.200 saw on the Eastern Front it would have made more sense to include that than the 202. Perhaps the future of the game after BoM was still rather up in the air and an MTO battle was still on the consideration table because it's a great plane there.

Yes, this is it! It used to be a poll, but that part of the thread is gone somehow. You can see responses like "thanks for voting," and I also found another thread linking to it asking people to vote. I'm pretty sure it was only 202 vs. iar80.

If we do not have proper romanian or finnish nations, i will not buy those extensions 

I already cannot fly the IAR without romanian voices
