Performance difference between P-51D-15 and D-30

As far as I know, there is almost no difference in their performance.The first North Korean aircraft destroyed by U.S. forces were shot down by F-82,it's really strange that they don't make F-82.

It's mostly about things like ground attack armament and what equipment is available, e.g. gyro gunsight as stock equipment, tail warning radar, etc.
