Can you transfer steam items to Il 2 bought on the website?

Hello, so I own BoS and BOBP bought from the il 2 store, because I have some money on my steam account, want to buy Ta 152 via steam and not the webiste . I don't own any il 2 stuff on steam, but I once heard somewhere that you are able to transfer your steam keys in a way so that you can use the 152 like you bought it from the il 2 website? Is that possible?

I don't this will work, as you don't own a steam copy of the game and it sounds like you have not linked your steam account with your iL 2 account.

 

I bought BOS on steam and linked my accounts and then bought everything else from the the IL2 store, I only wanted steam for the auto updates and VR.

 

I think if your bought one of the other BOX games on steam and linked it to your account that would work. But you have the added cost of buying the game, though they are all in the steam sale.

As w00dy says, it's not possible to play Steam items in the standalone game.

 

The other way around does work though; i.e. play stuff you bought on the IL2 website in a Steam installation. You will need to buy BoS on Steam for that. Since you mention you already have BoS, I doubt this is worth it in your case.

Just so nobody gets the wrong impression, steam and steamVR are not necessary to play IL-2 in VR on most current headsets.

Correct, I only use it for ease of use.
