jdu Posted June 30, 2024 Posted June 30, 2024 Finally, after a lot of hard work, a few sleepless nights, lots of testing, obscene swearing, enthusiasm and occasional discouragement, I'm pleased to announce that the new version of the Tacview Recorder 2.0 add-on is now available. Many thanks to : Mikmak, Lionel and Brunov from the OBT team for their help with multiplayer testing, Atag_Lenny for testing in single mission mode, as well as Artist and Scott for their help in finding a solution to correct geodetic coordinate shifts (still in progress). You can download the Installation program as well as the installation guide in English or French. (please read the installation guide before installation). The user guide is also available in English or French. All files available in this folder. If you have any problems installing or using the recorder or you find a bug, drop me a PM and I'll try to help. Enjoy your debrief! Bonus : But you can download here results of tests with OBT team (as Tacview files) : Tacview OBT part 1 and 2. No need to unzip files, just open them in Tacview 1.9.3 even in starter (free) edition. Tacview, from the Standard version, synchronizes the time-line of a video with the time-line of a tacview file. Perfect for a debrief. Remember, only timelines are synchronized, not pov ! Synchronize Timeline. To compare versions of Tacview : https://www.tacview.net/features/comparison/en/ It looks like there's a 40% discount on the price of standard and advanced versions. I am neither directly nor indirectly involved in Tacview and I have no commercial or technical agreement with them! 7 3

BlitzPig_Bill_Kelso Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 Tacview 2.0 is not out on the website, The latest version is 1.9.3 and the latest beta is 1.9.4 How is it you have a download for 2.0?
FTC_Karaya Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 This is a plugin for Cliffs that enables TacView recordings, not Tacview itself...
Dagwoodyt Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 I get a warning from Google which to me is a non-starter🙁

It basically tends to identify potentially dangerous stuff from sites that are not well-known, or file sharing sites, which can mean a scammer, but also just an individual who made something nice. You can also just use common sense, instead of blindly trusting Google (who are not necessarily that trustworthy, having abandoned their 'don't be evil' motto for a reason). And I would suggest that creating such a tool or claiming to have done so, is not a particular good investment of a scammer's time, especially if you look at the big effort he went to, including writing manuals. I would argue that everything here points to an enthusiast having made something, where the biggest risk is there being a bug in the tool. 1

It took me a long time and a lot of effort to achieve this result. I did a lot of testing to ensure that this add-on would disrupt the game's core as little as possible, even in the event of a bug. If you encounter one, don't hesitate to drop a PM. 1
